What makes a retreat center more than a venue?

Tucked in the serene jungle of the Riviera Maya on about 1.25 acres of built space set in more than 80,000 square meters of jungle, Lunita is a living ecosystem of healing, community, and authentic connection, not just a place to stay. The land itself participates in the work, settling the nervous system so practice becomes presence and gatherings become growth. Since opening, it has hosted well over 120 retreats, with consistently high guest ratings. What the numbers cannot show is the pace of the land and how sound moves through the trees, which is why Lunita feels different to guests before any practice begins.

For every kind of gathering

Whether you're planning a personal retreat, a couple's reconnection, a corporate team gathering, or a yoga or spiritual workshop, Lunita holds it, with private cabanas for up to 20 guests, meditation and ceremonial spaces, nourishing meals, and a team that handles logistics so you can focus on the experience.

The Puerto Morelos advantage

And some are planning to host, for whom the guide to hosting retreats in the Riviera Maya is the next read.

About 40 minutes from Cancún's airport yet deep in the jungle, Puerto Morelos offers seclusion with access, quiet enough to protect the container, close enough to reach easily. Explore choosing a venue or book a discovery call to begin.

How arrival works

A driver meets you at Cancun airport and the ride takes about forty minutes, the last part of it along the Ruta de los Cenotes, where the road narrows and the mobile signal thins. You arrive to your cabana, a meal, and a short conversation with the team about what your stay is for. Nothing is scheduled for that first evening beyond that.

The manager lives on site and has since the first day of construction, so there is someone here at every hour and not only during office time. Guests notice this most on the second night, when whatever they came with tends to surface.

What the off-grid setting actually means

Off grid means the power. The center runs on solar energy stored in batteries on the property, the water comes from a cenote beneath it, and the sanitation is a biodigester that returns to the soil. More than five thousand trees were planted during construction and none were cut.

It does not mean no signal. Starlink covers the whole property, common areas and cabanas alike, and the wifi works. Nobody collects phones and nobody is cut off; disconnecting is a choice guests make and the setting makes easy. The one place that genuinely has no signal is the private cenote, about ten minutes away, and that is part of its appeal.
