About this retreat

Deep in the jungle of Mexico, ten women will gather at the wild altar of their own becoming.

This is a retreat to wake up, to shed the weight of performing, pleasing, and playing small, and remember the fierce, tender, sacred woman who has been waiting underneath.

For 8 days, surrounded by ancient jungle, we will move our bodies in morning yoga, descend into the crystalline waters of sacred cenotes, feel the salt of the ocean on our skin, and stand in the presence of the Mayan ancestors who built their temples at the edge of the world.

We will sweat together in the darkness of the temazcal, be broken open in ceremony, and find in one another the kind of sisterhood that does not ask you to be palatable.

Eight days is longer than most retreats on the Lunita calendar, and the length is part of the design: mornings of yoga, descents into the crystalline waters of sacred cenotes, salt of the ocean on your skin, time in the presence of the Mayan temples, the darkness of the temazcal, and ceremony all need room to unfold without hurry. November on the Riviera Maya is dry, warm, and clear, right for a week lived between jungle, water, and stone.

How many women join, and who is it for?
Ten. The group is kept small on purpose, so each woman is genuinely seen and the sisterhood is real rather than nominal. The Wild Altar is for women ready to wake up and shed the weight of performing, pleasing, and playing small, and to remember the fierce, tender, sacred woman underneath. If you have spent years being palatable, this container is built as the opposite: ceremony that breaks open, sisterhood that does not require performance, and a jungle that holds all of it.
