Untamed, A Jungle Experience, was a women's retreat hosted at Lunita Jungle Retreat Center built as a homecoming to the wild woman within: the one who knows how to listen to the wind, dance with the fire, and rise from the earth's heartbeat. Its invitation spoke to the part of you that craves freedom, truth, and raw connection, the part that remembers the language of the soul. In its own words it was not just a retreat: a homecoming, a reclamation, a remembering. The group unplugged from the noise, stepped into sacred stillness, and shed the masks, the expectations, and the stories.

When did Untamed take place?

Untamed ran from March 17 to March 22, 2026 at Lunita Jungle Retreat Center near Puerto Morelos in the Cancún region of Mexico, beginning at 2:00 p.m. on arrival day and closing at 11:00 a.m. on the final morning. The retreat has concluded, and its page remains on the site as part of the story of what the jungle has held. March is high dry season on the Riviera Maya: warm days, clear nights for dancing beneath the stars, and the jungle at its stillest, which suited a week built on fire, earth, and night sky.

What experiences did Untamed include?

The week moved through elemental experiences: cleansing with clay, bathing in the cenote near Lunita Jungle Retreat Center, dancing beneath the stars, and breathing with the earth. Around those rituals sat the deeper work the retreat named plainly: shedding the masks, the expectations, and the stories, and becoming who we were always meant to be. The container was sacred stillness, unplugged from the noise of daily life, held by the jungle itself. The experiences were physical on purpose: clay, water, fire, and earth rather than concepts, so the return to the wild, untamed self happened in the body first.

Where was Untamed held?

Untamed was held at Lunita Jungle Retreat Center, Ruta de los Cenotes Km 17, Puerto Morelos, Quintana Roo, Mexico, about 40 minutes by road from Cancún International Airport. The center is an intimate, fully solar-powered venue for twenty guests, 5,000 square metres built inside 80,000 square metres of preserved jungle, with a pool fed with cenote water and access to a private cenote about ten minutes away through a partner center. Fire pits, ceremony spaces beneath the canopy, and the jungle's night sky provided the staging the retreat's elemental rituals asked for.
