About this retreat

What is the Becoming HER Retreat?

Becoming Her is a retreat for the woman who is ready to bury an old version of herself.

Not with shame. With reverence.
The woman who overgave.
Who overworked.
Who overexplained.
Who kept choosing everyone else over herself.
Who called exhaustion strength.
Who called self-abandonment love.

Who got so used to surviving that she forgot what joy even felt like.

She got you here. But she cannot come where you’re going.

So we gather at a potent time:
Halloween weekend.
Day of the Dead.
Samhain.
A season of death and rebirth.
Of endings becoming beginnings.

Of honoring what has passed and opening to what wants to live.

This retreat is a space to lay the old self down and to make space for the woman rising in her place.

The woman who speaks.
Who feels.
Who chooses herself.
Who takes up space.

Who lives with more truth, more beauty, more joy, more life.

This is not just a getaway. It’s a release. A remembrance. A rebirth.

In Mexico, we gather to grieve, to honor, and to become.

How do we support that?

Through embodied practices, rituals of release, honest reflection, and experiences that help you move what’s been living under the surface.

Come back into your body: Through yoga, meditation, sound healing, and movement practices that help you soften self-protection, release stored tension, and reconnect with the part of you that knows how to feel, trust, and take up space.

Release what no longer fits: Through ritual, reflection, and ceremony, we create room to grieve the old roles, old identities, and old survival patterns that have shaped you, protected you, and quietly kept you from the life you actually want.

Let nature hold what you're shedding: With the jungle, the water, and the earth as part of the experience, you’ll be supported by the natural world as you reconnect with your own rhythms. A cenote visit invites depth. A tree-planting ceremony honors what you are ready to root into. A reminder that real change cannot be rushed..

Be witnessed in your becoming: Through sisterhood, sharing, and a gentle photo experience that captures presence over performance, you’ll have the chance to be seen in a new way. Not polished. Not proving. Just real.

Mark the shift: Through blessing rituals, body art, and ceremonial moments, we honor what is ending, what is opening, and the woman you are becoming.

And through it all, sisterhood.
Women beside you.
Truth in the room.
Laughter that opens the body.
Emotion that doesn’t need to be dimmed.

The relief of not having to explain yourself.

The relief of being met.

Questions

When does the Becoming Her retreat take place?
Becoming Her runs from October 27 to October 31, 2026 at Lunita Jungle Retreat Center near Puerto Morelos, Mexico: four nights, beginning at 2:00 p.m. on arrival day and closing at 11:00 a.m. on the final morning. The dates sit at the turn of October into November, warm jungle season on the Riviera Maya, and the four-night arc is built as a complete passage: gathering, releasing what no longer fits, being witnessed, and marking the shift before returning home. The retreat gathers women in Mexico, in the words of its own invitation, to grieve, to honor, and to become.
What is the Becoming Her retreat about?
Becoming Her is a women's retreat rooted in creativity, movement, and self-expression, designed to help you reconnect with your natural rhythm, trust your impulses, and move through life with more freedom and authenticity. It is for the woman ready to lay an old version of herself down, not with shame but with reverence: the woman who overgave, overworked, overexplained, who kept choosing everyone else over herself. The retreat calls itself a release, a remembrance, a rebirth, and it makes space for the woman rising in her place: the woman who speaks, who feels, who chooses herself, who takes up space. It is held at Lunita Jungle Retreat Center in the Riviera Maya.
What practices and experiences are included?
The days move through embodied practices, rituals of release, honest reflection, and sisterhood. You come back into your body through yoga, meditation, sound healing, and movement practices that soften self-protection and release stored tension. Ritual, reflection, and ceremony create room to grieve old roles and survival patterns. Nature holds what you are shedding: the jungle, the water, and the earth are part of the experience, including a visit to a private cenote near Lunita Jungle Retreat Center and a tree-planting ceremony to honor what you are ready to root into. A gentle photo experience captures presence over performance, and blessing rituals, body art, and ceremonial moments mark the shift, with sisterhood through it all.
Where is Becoming Her held and how do I get there?
Becoming Her is held at Lunita Jungle Retreat Center, Ruta de los Cenotes Km 17, Puerto Morelos, Quintana Roo, Mexico, about 40 minutes by road from Cancún International Airport. You fly into Cancún, and airport transfers are arranged with trusted local drivers once your place is confirmed. The center is an intimate, fully solar-powered venue for twenty guests: 5,000 square metres built inside 80,000 square metres of preserved jungle, with a pool fed with cenote water. The natural world is written into the retreat itself, so the setting is not a backdrop but a participant in the release and renewal the days are designed around.
