Body Awareness, Movement & Meditation at Lunita

Body Awareness, Movement & Meditation, Lunita Jungle Retreat, Riviera Maya, Mexico

The Body Awareness, Movement & Meditation session at Lunita, guided by Faby, a beloved member of the Lunita family, invites you into a journey of presence, creativity, and release, blending conscious movement, expressive art, and sound healing into one holistic flow. Set in the heart of the Riviera Maya jungle, it's an invitation to slow down, shed tension, and reconnect with the body's natural rhythms. Here's what it involves. (Prefer an art-led version? See the art mandala workshop.)

The three layers

Conscious movement: guided, free-form movement that awakens muscles and fascia while inviting emotional release, nothing choreographed; it emerges intuitively, honoring each body's rhythm. Creative expression: once embodied, you channel sensation and emotion into art using colors, shapes, and free-flow techniques, bringing clarity and release. Sound and integration: the session closes with a sound-healing immersion and a grounding circle, so experiences can be witnessed and honored.

Why movement first

The body often holds what the mind can't reach. Beginning with movement lets tension and emotion surface gently, so the art and sound that follow have somewhere to land, a sequence that balances science, art, and spirit.

Who it's for

Anyone wanting to reconnect with the body and slow down, no experience required. It pairs beautifully with temazcal and the rhythm of a personal retreat.

In short

Frequently asked questions

What is the Body Awareness, Movement & Meditation session?

A three-layer holistic flow guided by Faby of the Lunita family: conscious free-form movement that awakens the body and invites emotional release, creative expression that channels sensation into art, and a closing sound-healing immersion with a grounding sharing circle. It blends movement, art, and sound into one journey of presence.

Do I need dance or art experience?

No. The movement is intuitive and unchoreographed, it emerges from your own body's rhythm, and the art is about process, not skill. The whole session honors each person's pace.

How is it different from the art mandala workshop?

Both are guided by Faby and use sound, but this session centers conscious movement as the entry point (with free-flow art and sound to follow), while the art-mandala workshop centers mandala painting. Choose movement-led or art-led depending on what calls you.
