Coming Home to Yourself: A Chakra Journey of Rebirth and Wholeness

A woven hammock in blue, orange, and green stripes hangs between two thin jungle trees, Lunita Jungle Retreat

There are places in the world that seem to invite you to breathe a little deeper.

Places where time slows, where your shoulders soften, where the constant chatter of the mind begins to quiet, and something much older and wiser begins to speak.

Lunita Jungle Retreat Center is one of those places.

Nestled within the preserved Mayan jungle of Puerto Morelos, Mexico, Lunita is intentionally simple. It gently invites you back to what truly nourishes the soul: the rhythm of nature, meaningful connection, and the spaciousness to simply be.

Here, surrounded by the wisdom of the natural world, you will have the opportunity to remember something many of us have quietly forgotten. That we, too, are part of nature.

Nature has an extraordinary way of reminding us who we are, not by asking us to become someone new, but by gently inviting us to remember who we have been all along.

Somewhere along the way, many of us begin living more from our schedules than from our souls. We become disconnected from our bodies. From our intuition. From our creativity. From the simple joy of being alive.

This retreat is an invitation to return.

Seven days, seven chakras, one thread

For seven days, February 21 to 27, 2027, we will step away from the pace of everyday life and allow the wisdom of nature to become one of our greatest teachers, gently awakening our inner energy system along the way.

Together we will journey through the seven chakras, not as concepts to study, but as experiences to embody. Each day we will gather for yoga, meditation, breathwork, and reflective practices designed to gently awaken the body's natural energy system. Rather than rushing toward transformation, we will allow it to unfold naturally, just as nature always does.

Throughout the week, one beautiful thread will weave every experience together: the Sacral Chakra. The chakra of water, creativity, emotion, sensuality, and joy. The chakra that reminds us life was never meant to simply be managed. It was meant to be felt.

As we reconnect with this energy, we will explore the journey of releasing what no longer serves us: cleansing old emotional patterns, awakening creativity, embracing play, rediscovering our vitality, and perhaps experiencing a gentle rebirth into the wholeness that has always been within us.

If nature speaks to you, there is room for you here.

Guided by nature

Every element of nature will become part of our journey.

Earth will be beneath our feet, grounding us into the sacred land and reminding us of stability, safety, presence, and belonging.

Water will welcome us as we enter the mineral-rich waters of a private cenote reserved exclusively for our group, an opportunity to surrender, cleanse, release, and emerge renewed.

Fire will greet us through the warmth and energy of the Mexican sun, reminding us of our own strength, courage, vitality, and capacity for transformation.

Air will move through the jungle and through our breath as we explore the qualities of the Heart: acceptance, compassion, gratitude, forgiveness, and love.

Space and Sound will be experienced through meditation, silence, vibration, and a deeply restorative sound bath, helping us discover the healing power of both listening and expressing our truth.

Light will guide us inward, encouraging clarity, intuition, awareness, and a deeper trust in what we know beyond the thinking mind.

And finally, we will explore our connection to something greater than ourselves. Whether you call that Spirit, Source, Creator, the Universe, Divine Consciousness, Love, or do not feel the need to give it a name at all: there is no belief system required here, only an invitation to stay curious and open to your own experience.

To reconnect. To remember. To come home.

More than a retreat

Interwoven throughout our seven days will be experiences designed to bring these teachings out of our minds and into our bodies. Daily yoga, meditation, energy sessions, personal reflection, and meaningful group connection will be complemented by experiences and ceremonies that invite us to embody what we are exploring.

There will also be time simply to be. To rest. To enjoy the pool. To wander. To journal. To connect with others. Or perhaps to find a quiet corner beneath the trees and do absolutely nothing at all. Because transformation does not always happen while we are doing something. Sometimes it happens in the spaces between.

Coming home

My hope is that you do not leave this retreat feeling as though you have become a different person. Quite the opposite. My hope is that you leave feeling more like you.

  • More grounded in your body.
  • More comfortable with your emotions.
  • More at peace with your mind.
  • More connected to your creativity.
  • More trusting of your intuition.
  • More compassionate toward yourself.
  • More accepting of all the different parts of your being.
  • More connected to others.
  • More connected to nature.

And more aware of the wisdom that has been within you all along. Because coming home to yourself is not about finding something that has been missing. It is simply about remembering. Remembering your body. Remembering your joy. Remembering your connection. Remembering your wholeness. And remembering that you have never been separate from this extraordinary natural world.

If your heart feels called to this journey, I would love to welcome you. Every detail of the week, and your place in it, is here: Coming Home to Yourself, February 21 to 27, 2027, at Lunita Jungle Retreat Center, Puerto Morelos. You can also read about who will be guiding the week.

I would be honoured to share this journey with you. Stay curious. Stay open.

Namaste,
Leslie
