Small Corporate Retreats, Big Impact

In today's complex business landscape, one-size-fits-all off-site events often miss the mark, leaving teams disconnected and objectives unmet. Small corporate retreats take the opposite approach, and frequently deliver bigger impact. Here's why small is powerful. (See the benefits of a corporate retreat.)

Why small means big impact

Intimacy creates depth. In a small retreat, everyone is seen, conversations go deeper, and the experience can be tailored precisely to the team's needs and goals. Facilitation can be responsive in the moment, and every person contributes, which is exactly what makes the work land and the objectives actually get met. For leadership teams and tight-knit groups, small is a feature.

Tailored to your team

Groups of up to around 20 allow genuine connection and customization a large gathering can't match. At Lunita, exclusive use, private cabanas, and full-service planning make a small retreat feel both intimate and effortless. Lunita's corporate arm, Team Circle, designs team retreats in two tracks, Raíz for traditional, in-person companies and Archipelago for distributed and remote teams, so the experience fits how your team actually works. In short

Frequently asked questions

Are small corporate retreats effective?

Very, small retreats often deliver bigger impact than large off-sites. One-size-fits-all events can leave teams disconnected and objectives unmet, while a small, intimate retreat allows real depth: everyone is seen, conversations go deeper, and the experience can be tailored precisely to the team's needs. For leadership teams and tight-knit groups, small is a feature, not a limitation.

What size works best?

Small groups (often up to around 20) allow genuine connection and customization that larger gatherings can't. The intimacy lets facilitation be responsive and every person contribute, which is exactly what makes the experience land and the objectives get met.

How small should a corporate retreat be?

Small enough that everyone is seen, which in practice means up to around twenty. Below that number conversations go deeper, facilitation can respond in the moment, and every person contributes, which is what makes objectives actually get met rather than reported. Above it the same program becomes an event, and the depth that justified the trip quietly disappears.
