We all walk different paths through life. Some of us have a clear idea of where we’re going, while others are still figuring it out. And sometimes, even when we think we’re on the right path, we reach a point where something just doesn’t feel right anymore.
Maybe you’ve built a life that, from the outside, looks pretty good. You’ve worked hard, achieved things you’re proud of, and overcome challenges along the way. You followed the path you thought would bring you happiness and fulfilment, but somehow, something still feels missing.
Or maybe you know you’re capable of more, but you keep getting in your own way. Your business stalls just when it should grow, or you find yourself repeating the same relationship patterns, even though you’ve promised yourself things would be different this time.
Perhaps you’re standing at a crossroads, knowing something needs to change but not quite knowing what. Or maybe you already know what you want, but you’re struggling to let go of old identities, relationships, habits, or circumstances that no longer feel right for you.
Sometimes, the hardest part isn’t figuring out what we want. It’s understanding why we keep holding ourselves back, even when we know there’s another way.
Whichever path brought you here, there’s often that quiet feeling that there’s more to life than what you’re currently experiencing. More to discover, more to feel, and perhaps parts of yourself you’ve lost touch with along the way.
Why we created RECLAIM
We’ve been there too. Feeling stuck or unfulfilled, going through heartbreak or major life transitions, or recognizing fears and limitations we didn’t know how to move beyond.
We were both fortunate to cross paths with ayahuasca. Through our experiences, we began to understand ourselves on a much deeper level and started making choices that felt more aligned with who we really are.
Those experiences are what inspired us to create RECLAIM. We wanted to share them with others and help them on their own paths, in a setting that is carefully prepared, where they can look honestly at themselves and experience what the medicine has to offer.
But our own journeys also taught us something important. Plant medicine can help open the door, but for us, preparation and integration are what made the changes last.
In the ceremony, with an expanded sense of awareness, a lot can become clear. You may see things about yourself and your life that you couldn’t see before. But once the ceremony is over and you return to everyday life, those lessons are much harder to hold onto and live by.
Preparation matters just as much. People who prepare tend to go into the ceremony knowing more clearly what they want to explore. In our experience, intention has a big effect on how the ceremony unfolds and how you move through it. If you don’t know where you’re going, any road will take you there. Without a clear intention, the journey can take you in many directions, and you may come away with less than you could have.
Somatic work has also been a big part of both our journeys. The mind and body are connected, and while preparation and integration work mostly with the mind, the body needs care too. Somatic practices help calm and prepare it. That’s why RECLAIM also includes yoga, breathwork, and meditation.
We’ve both done this work ourselves, including the preparation and the integration, and we’ve trained in it. Karina is a Plant Medicine Integration Facilitator, and Alex is a certified coach with 15 years of experience. She has also trained in NLP, hypnosis, and somatic trauma work.
That’s why we built RECLAIM around careful preparation before the ceremony and real support after it. We want you to go in with as much clarity as possible, and to have help making sense of the experience when it’s over.
RECLAIM isn’t meant to change your life in five days. It’s meant to plant a seed, and to give you the tools and support to keep it growing once you’re home.
Here’s what RECLAIM includes, from start to finish:
- Before you arrive: a preparation guide and a live online group session
- At Lunita: workshops, a 1:1 intention session, yoga and breathwork, the ceremony, a sharing circle, and 1:1 integration time
- Back home: a private integration session, with more available if you want them
Before you arrive: Your journey begins at home
In our experience, the inner process starts the moment you decide to commit to the experience, often months before the retreat itself.
A few weeks before, you’ll receive a preparation guide with prompts to begin working on your intention, such as: What pattern keeps repeating in my life? What am I ready to let go of? Where have I been abandoning myself? What am I ready to call in and finally allow myself to live? You’ll also join a live online session with both of us to prepare as a group, ask questions, and meet the people you’ll share the retreat with.
Arriving at Lunita: Leaving the outside world behind
Imagine arriving after weeks, perhaps months, of juggling responsibilities, deadlines, and expectations. For the next five days, there’s nowhere else you need to be. No emails to answer, no one to impress, nothing to prove. Just the sounds of the jungle, a warm welcome, and the opportunity to finally give yourself some space. Hidden among the lush greenery near Puerto Morelos, Mexico, Lunita feels like a world away from everyday life.
You’ll be shown to your casita, have time to settle in, and allow yourself to arrive fully.
Then we begin the retreat together with an opening ceremony, where we introduce ourselves and get to know each other. We share dinner, and close the evening with a soothing sound healing session to help your body unwind after travelling, quiet your mind, and prepare you for a restful sleep.

Preparing for the ceremony: Looking beneath the surface
In the days leading up to the ceremony, we gently turn our attention inward.
We come back to the intention you started exploring at home and begin looking at what might be standing in the way of the changes you want to make.
Alex leads a preparation workshop where you’ll explore how subconscious beliefs, childhood conditioning, and familiar emotional patterns may be shaping your choices, relationships, and sense of self. Through practical exercises and guided reflection, you’ll begin to recognize patterns that keep repeating in your life, understand what might be keeping them in place, and explore what you’re ready to do differently.
Karina leads an intention-setting workshop. It starts with a short breath practice to slow down, then uses journaling prompts to move from a surface wish to what’s really underneath it. From there, you shape your intention into a few clear words, a question or an invitation, and talk about how to hold it lightly if the night takes you somewhere else.
Afterwards, Karina and Alex meet with each of you one on one. You read your intention aloud, they ask a few questions about what you’re working with and what’s coming up for you, and together you refine it until it feels like your own.
Breathwork, yoga, and somatic practices accompany this process, helping you slow down, connect with your body, and create space for whatever comes up.

Ceremony night: Stepping beyond the familiar
Every ceremony is different, so it’s hard to say what yours will be like. What we can promise is that we’ll do our best to help you feel prepared and supported throughout the experience.
The ceremony is led by Juan Carlos, an experienced and trusted curandero we’ve sat in ceremony with ourselves. We’ve carefully chosen the retreat setting and the people we work with because your well-being matters deeply to us.
We believe that approaching the ceremony with an open mind, a clear intention, and a willingness to trust the process can help you navigate whatever unfolds. But it’s equally important to let go of expectations. Sometimes the experience brings clarity, sometimes it brings emotions or questions you weren’t expecting, and sometimes its meaning only becomes clearer afterwards.
For some, the experience can be deeply transformative. For others, the changes may be subtle and unfold gradually over time. There’s no right or wrong way for your journey to look.
What matters to us is creating a space where you feel supported, respected, and free to have your own experience.

After the ceremony: Bringing awareness into everyday life
The days that follow are for making sense of what came up, and this is where we give the most support. We gather in a sharing circle and work on integration together.
One of the most beautiful parts of the journey takes us beyond Lunita and into the natural wonders of the Yucatán.
We visit a private cenote, a freshwater pool nestled into the limestone landscape and connected to the region’s rich sacred Maya heritage.
It’s a quiet place to be in nature and back in your body, and to let the experience settle. Throughout the day, including at the cenote, we’re available for one-on-one integration and coaching time whenever you need it.

Back home: The journey continues
Eventually, you’ll pack your bags and leave the jungle behind.
You’ll return to your work, your relationships, your responsibilities, and your everyday routines. And this is where the next chapter begins.
Once you’re home, you’ll have a private integration session with one of us. We’ll talk through anything that has come up, including any fears, help you make sense of the experience, and look at what may come next and the tools to manage it. If you’d like to keep going, further integration and coaching sessions are available.

What to expect
We keep the group small, between 7 and 10 people, so we can give real attention to each person. No one gets lost in a crowd.
Lunita is tucked into the jungle, and it’s very peaceful. The casitas are comfortable, and the food is made fresh from local ingredients by an experienced chef. You’re surrounded by trees and the sounds of the jungle, with space to wander and a pool area to rest between sessions. It’s an easy place to switch off from everyday life.
It’s not all deep inner work, either. There will be moments of pure joy too: laughter around the dinner table, refreshing swims, meaningful conversations, and time to simply enjoy the beauty of the jungle. Reconnecting with yourself is also about rediscovering what makes you feel alive.
RECLAIM does ask something of you. We put everything we have into this experience, and we ask you to come with the same commitment: take the preparation and the diet seriously, take part in the workshops, and treat the place, the medicine, the other guests, and us with respect. Nothing is forced, but in our experience, what you get out of it depends a lot on what you put in, and that includes the work after you go home. It isn’t always easy, and we’ll support you through it.
This retreat isn’t for you if you’re looking for a quick fix, a holiday, or a party. It also isn’t the right place if you’re curious about plant medicine mainly because it’s popular, without a clear sense of why you want it.
What you take home
We see the retreat as planting a seed. What matters just as much is how you carry the experience into your everyday life.
You may leave with some new insight, perhaps a new way of seeing something you’ve been struggling with for a long time. You’ll also leave with tools to keep using: breathwork, somatic practice, journaling, and coming back to your intention.
For Karina, the first experience changed how she relates to her emotions. She started to understand them instead of pushing them away. It also completely changed how she sees spirituality. She wasn’t a spiritual person before. But what made those changes last was the integration work afterwards, not the ceremony itself.
For Alex, the experience helped her reconnect with her heart, her inner strength, and a deeper sense of who she really is. It allowed her to access emotions she had suppressed for years, see her past from a different perspective, and find compassion and forgiveness for herself and others. Perhaps her biggest realization was that she didn’t need to become someone else. She needed to let go of the fears, expectations, and limiting beliefs that had made her lose touch with herself in the first place.
But these realizations didn’t magically change everything overnight. The real transformation happened afterwards, in everyday life, in the moments she chose to set boundaries, respond differently to familiar triggers, let go of old patterns, and make choices that felt more aligned with who she truly wanted to be. She began to understand that healing wasn’t about constantly fixing herself, but about learning to trust herself, honour her needs, and allow herself to live life on her own terms.
The ceremony opens the door. The path after it is yours to walk, and it has its ups and downs. You may feel connected and light for a while, and then everyday life comes back, sometimes along with emotions that surfaced during the ceremony. Give yourself time to process what came up, be gentle with yourself, and reach out for support when you need it. You don’t have to have everything figured out right away.

Why January
Most of us start a new year with a list of things to achieve, fix, or improve. RECLAIM starts it differently. Before deciding what you want to do this year, we ask who you want to be in it.
