There is no bad time to come to the Riviera Maya jungle, but the seasons each have a feel. Roughly, November to April is drier and a little cooler, and May to October is greener, warmer, and wetter. Here is how each part of the year lands at Lunita.

The drier season, November to April

Comfortable temperatures, lower humidity, and the most popular window. The jungle is still lush, with less rain to plan around. If you want easy weather, this is it.

The green season, May to October

Hot, humid, and fully alive. Expect short, heavy showers rather than all-day rain, fewer people, and the jungle at its richest. The cenotes feel like a gift in this season.

How to choose

It comes down to comfort, solitude, and timing. The dry season is easy and busier. The green season is intense and quieter. Both have their own kind of beauty.

In short

Frequently asked questions

When does it rain most?

In the green season, roughly June to October, usually as short heavy showers rather than constant rain.

Is summer too hot?

It is warm and humid. Quick-dry clothes help, and the cenotes are wonderful then.

When is it quietest?

The green season tends to be calmer and less crowded.
