HOST A RETREAT

Yoga & wellness studio retreats

Your students keep asking, and a studio retreat is the answer that changes the studio. Sunrise practice as the jungle wakes, evening meditation under a sky with no light pollution, and a week where your teaching gets the container a weekly class can never give it.

Lunita hosts one group at a time: when your studio is here, the whole property is yours: the shala, the pool, the ceremony spaces, the silence. You teach; our team runs everything else. This page is the practical case: the spaces, the packages, a sample week, and the honest economics of why studios come back.

Why studios bring their communities here

Your students are already asking. The request behind the request after class, “do you ever do retreats?”, is a community ready to travel with you. Answering it deepens the teaching relationship in a way no schedule of classes can.

Easy to offer. Lodging, meals, transfers, and logistics are carried by our team from first inquiry to final savasana, so the offering costs you teaching energy, not operations.

Twenty people, on purpose. Small enough that every student is seen, large enough to feel like the community it is, the scale where a studio's teaching actually lands.

A class becomes a community. Students who travel, practice, and eat together come home bonded to each other and to the studio, the retention and word-of-mouth engine behind every studio that runs an annual retreat.

A growing practice. Wellness travel is among the fastest-growing forms of tourism, and studio-led retreats are its most natural unit: an existing community, a trusted teacher, a week away.

The stories keep teaching. Photos, testimonials, and shared memories from one retreat fill the next one, a living archive of what your studio actually does.

The spaces your teaching gets

The shala. The Crystal Shala — transparent, octagonal, its walls opening fully or partially: sunlight, birdsong, and breeze move through every session. Equipped with a professional sound system, and props on request: mats, blocks, chairs, blankets: bring your sequences, not your luggage allowance.

The open-air meditation area. Under the canopy beside the Grandfather tree: sunrise sits, breathwork, intimate circles. Also sound-equipped for moonlit sound journeys.

The rest of the property. The cenote-fed pool (and sound baths in it), the jungle gym built from natural wood, the ice bath for nervous-system work after practice, the temazcal for the ceremony nights, fire circle, hammocks, and eighty thousand square meters of jungle between them. Rooms, meals, and the practical layer

Accommodation. Eight cabanas host one or two guests each, a queen and a twin per cabana, private bathroom, a small garden of its own, plus the mini apartment, for up to twenty in total. Daily cleaning, and a retreat manager on site throughout. Larger communities can extend into trusted partner hotels nearby while keeping the retreat's center of gravity at Lunita.

Dining. Three farm-to-table meals daily from organic, locally sourced ingredients (Mexican, Italian, and international) with menus tailored vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian, gluten-free, or with meat, designed around your group and your theme.

Connectivity & equipment. High-speed Wi-Fi in the common areas (deep disconnection where it counts, communication where it's needed), with projection, microphones, and discreet technical support for workshops and trainings.

A sample five-day flow

Day 1: Arrival & intention. Mid-afternoon arrival, herbal tea, cabanas, orientation, then an opening circle by the fire as the jungle's evening starts.

Day 2: Practice & blessing. Sunrise practice, then the Blessing Ceremony opens the retreat properly. Workshops mid-morning: sequencing, philosophy, mindful business for teachers, then pool, hammocks, journaling; restorative practice and a sound bath close the day.

Day 3: Water & ceremony. A guided jungle walk as moving meditation, then a ten-minute transfer to a private cenote for the cold, clear swim. Late afternoon: cacao ceremony and an Ojo de Dios workshop. At dusk, the temazcal.

Day 4: Integration & celebration. Morning pranayama and meditation to ground the night before. Afternoon: the one-hour professional photoshoot in jungle light, the Hug Ceremony, and the Tree Planting, intentions literally rooted on the property.

Day 5: Gratitude & departure. A final sunrise practice, closing circle, brunch, and the drive back with clearer eyes.

IN SHORT

Every itinerary is fully yours to reshape: longer stays, specialized workshops, trainings, beaches, ruins.

The studio growth case

A retreat is the studio business compounding: retention (students who retreat together stay, and bring people), positioning (a studio that curates a week, not just a schedule), recurring revenue (the annual retreat that builds its own waitlist, successful dates rarely stay single), and evergreen proof (the photos and testimonials that market everything else you do). Weekly classes create consistency; the retreat creates the story people tell about your studio.

And the research keeps confirming what the practice already knew: as little as 20 minutes in nature measurably lowers stress hormones (Harvard Health), with effects appearing in as little as 10 minutes (Cornell). A week of practice inside the green is the format working with you.
