The voice of the land
“I have held more than 120 retreats. I remember every one. Bring me yours, and I'll hold it the way I held the others, like it matters. Because it does.”
— Lunita
Leading a retreat is an act of love, and a lot to carry. The planning, the people, the thousand quiet details that pull you out of the moment you came to create.
At Lunita, you don't carry it alone. You bring your community and your vision; we bring the jungle, the ceremonies, the food, and a team who treats your retreat like it's our own. For your dates, the whole center is yours, and so are we.
Sixteen leaders have come back to do it again. We'd love to meet the next one.

Most retreat venues hand you the keys and disappear. You do the worrying: the flow, the food, the facilitators, the thousand small things, alone.
Lunita is the opposite. When you host here, you get a partner who's done this more than a hundred times. We help you shape the days, hold the ceremonies, feed your people, and carry the logistics that have nothing to do with why you became a leader. The whole center is yours, and so are we, for the length of your retreat.
You hold your community. We hold you.

Hosting at Lunita means the full center is yours for your dates: no other groups, no strangers at breakfast, no sharing the pool with a wedding party.
Eight cabanas and a private mini apartment sleep up to twenty guests. Everyone gathers in the Crystal Shala, the open-air meditation area, around the cenote-fed pool that doubles as a sound-bath venue. There's a temazcal, a gym, an ice bath, and a private cenote ten minutes away. Five thousand square meters of built space inside more than eighty thousand of surrounding preserved jungle, with two walking paths that never reach a road.
Forty minutes from Cancún. A hundred percent solar. Quiet enough to hear the trees.
When you host at Lunita for three nights or more, four ceremonies come with your booking. We don't upsell them. We don't add them to the invoice. We hold them for your group because they're part of what it means to host here, small acts of love, given freely.
We call them the Sacred Gifts. Here's what they are.
A Mexican shaman opens your retreat with a permission ceremony: for the land, for the four directions, for the four elements. It happens the morning your group arrives, before the real work begins, so your people step into the days ahead already welcomed by the place itself. Most leaders tell us it sets the tone for everything that follows. The Shamanic Blessing in full →
Nico has been a photographer for twenty years. For one hour, he moves quietly through your retreat, catching what's actually happening between your people and this place. Your guests leave with images they'll keep for years. You leave with something rarer: photographs that show, better than any words on a sales page, what your retreats actually feel like, yours to use for the next one. The retreat photography in full →
Lorenza created this one, and it carries her whole heart. It's inspired by Apapacho, a Nahuatl word that means "to embrace with the soul." Your guests paint their arms with color, then hold each other, one by one. The paint leaves marks. So does the holding. It's often the moment a group stops being strangers. The Hug Ceremony in full →
At the close of your retreat, your group plants something together: a tree, a shrub, whatever the land needs that season. It stays in the ground here. It grows. The next group walks past it without knowing the story, and your people carry the knowing that a piece of their retreat is still alive in this jungle. The Tree Planting in full →
From the first email to the final closing circle, you're never doing this alone. Most venues hand you keys. We help you fill the rooms, run the days, and close the circle.
A beautiful retreat that no one knows about doesn't happen. So we put our experience and our reach behind yours:
We share your retreat with the Lunita community: 4,100+ newsletter subscribers and 40,000+ social followers already looking for what you offer. We repost it, feature it on our site, and put it in front of an audience it would take years to build alone.
We review your retreat's page and help improve how it ranks, so people searching actually find you.
We help you find the right price — high enough to honor your work, reachable enough that your community can say yes. Most leaders price too low or too high; we help you land where the retreat actually fills.
We help you understand your market: who else is offering what, where you stand, how to position your retreat so it's the one people choose.
Guidance on how to show up, what to post, and how to turn interest into bookings.
The flow of the days, the balance of ceremony and rest, the meals, the excursions: we've seen what works across more than 120 retreats, and we offer everything we know. You decide; we help you decide well.
Once you're here, we carry the rest — and if there's something your retreat needs that you don't see, we'll find it.
Meals appear. Spaces are ready. The team is present but invisible, handling the thousand details that would otherwise pull you out of the room. Jhony and the team have done this hundreds of times; let them.
More than fifty experiences, ceremonies, and workshops live here: sound healing in the pool, temazcal, womb healing, breathwork, cacao, ice bath, and more. Don't see what you're looking for? We'll search our community of facilitators, healers, and local experts across the Riviera Maya, and we'll usually find it or build it with you.
You came to lead. We're here so you can.

Lunita is forty minutes from Cancún International Airport. Airport transfer isn't included, but we arrange it for you with trusted local drivers. You won't be figuring out logistics in a new country with a group counting on you.
There's no fixed price list. Every retreat is priced to its length, group size, and what you want included. So after our call, we send you a clear, detailed estimate built around exactly what you're envisioning: the investment for your dates and group, the cost per participant, and content you can use to start promoting your retreat right away. No guesswork, no surprises, just a real plan you can hold.
We've hosted more than 120 retreats. The number we hold closest is smaller: sixteen.
Sixteen retreat leaders came to Lunita, ran their retreat, went home, and then chose to come back and do it again.
That's the proof we trust most. A five-star review is one good week. A leader returning is someone who ran the numbers, felt the experience from the inside, carried the weight of their own community's trust here, and still decided Lunita was where they wanted to do it again. You can't fake that, and you can't buy it.
We don't publish their names; the leaders who host here value their privacy, and we protect it, the same way we'll protect yours. But the number is real, it's growing, and it's the clearest answer we can give to the only question that matters: does hosting here actually work?
It does. Sixteen times over, and counting.
If you want the rest of the numbers: 4.9 stars on Google and Tripadvisor, a Travelers' Choice award in 2024, and more than 660 days of retreats held in this jungle since 2023.
“I recently had the privilege of being a facilitator at Lunita Jungle Retreat. I come from the UK, originally from South Africa, and this was my first time coming to Mexico to facilitate a retreat. I honestly didn't know what to expect. You always see videos and photos online, and they can tell you a thousand stories, but nothing compares to being there in person. Lunita is simply magical: every corner is filled with beauty, peace, and the unmistakable feeling that it's been built with love. The food is incredible, the hospitality is warm and genuine, and the feeling of being surrounded by the jungle is beyond words. Nico and Lorenza's service and support have truly been five-star. I couldn't recommend Lunita more highly.”
Your first retreat
Thinking about your first retreat?
We wrote the complete, honest guide — everything we wish first-time leaders knew before they started.
You don't have to have it all figured out. You don't need a finished plan or a full guest list. You just need the sense that this might be the place, and a willingness to start the conversation.
Book a call and we'll talk it through: your vision, your dates, what you need. Or if you already know, apply to host and we'll begin.
The jungle has held more than 120 retreats. We'd be honored to hold yours.
