About Lunita · Our Story

Nine years carrying
the idea. Then built it.

Nico Rossi carried this idea for more than nine years before it existed. He found the land in Puerto Morelos, his mother Lorenza saw what he saw, and the two of them did what they said they would.

The Beginning

Asked permission
from the land first.

Before construction started, Nico and Lorenza held a ceremony to ask permission from the land. They built a small house for the Aluxes — the Mayan guardian spirits of this specific piece of earth. It still stands.

Zero trees were cut. Instead, 5,000 were planted. The property runs on solar power. The water comes from a cenote underground. These weren't things added for optics — they were part of the original plan.

What they were building, in their own words: “a place where community, ceremony, and nature come together.”

Three Years Later

120+ retreats.
4.9 on Google.

In three years, Lunita has hosted over 100 retreats, earned a 4.9 on Google, and become one of the more trusted retreat venues in the Riviera Maya. 225+ retreat days per year. Half the upcoming season already booked.

The same facilitators keep coming back. That's probably the most honest indicator of how the place works — when the people doing the work choose to return, something is right.
